Dan Leopard is Associate Professor of Media Studies and Communication at Saint Mary’s College of California in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has a PhD in Critical Studies from the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has published essays in Cinema Journal, Television and New Media, and two edited collections from Routledge entitled Joystick Soldiers and Convergence Media History. In a previous life, he was a video artist and a media production teacher at a large public high school.
